Garlic Basil Spread

Description

This garlic and basil spread gives ordinary sandwiches a kick.

Ingredients

  • 8 fresh basil leaves
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Combine basil leaves
  2. garlic
  3. and red pepper flakes in a food processor or blender. Pulse 3 to 4 times. Slowly pour in canola oil and olive oil and blend until thick and creamy
  4. about 30 seconds. Add additional oil if needed to make the spread smoother.
