Fresh Fig-Topped Teriyaki Salmon

Description

Salmon is marinated in teriyaki sauce, honey, and orange juice, topped with fresh figs and then baked. It’s a very easy and delicious dish to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 6 (5 ounce) salmon fillets
  • ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 large (2-1/2″ dia)s fresh figs, chopped

Instructions

  1. Rinse salmon and pat dry. Place in a baking dish.
  2. Mix teriyaki sauce
  3. orange juice
  4. honey
  5. and garlic in a cup. Pour sauce over salmon
  6. then sprinkle with cumin
  7. basil
  8. salt
  9. and pepper. Spread chopped figs over the salmon. Let marinate for 30 to 60 minutes.
  10. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  11. Bake salmon in the preheated oven until it flakes easily with a fork
  12. about 25 minutes.
