Fish in Ginger-Tamarind Sauce

Description

Its a very simple and easy fish curry from Kerala, a southern state of India. You can get the tamarind paste from any Indian grocery store.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
  • 2 tablespoons coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground red pepper
  • salt to taste
  • ½ pound cod fillets, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 4 fresh curry leaves

Cook Time: 30 mins

Total Time: 45 mins
