Easy Pineapple Cake

Description

A very easy pineapple cake with a cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 ½ cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-baking dish.
  2. Mix together flour
  3. white sugar
  4. and baking soda for cake in a large bowl and make a well in the center. Add eggs
  5. crushed pineapple with juice
  6. and vanilla; mix until well-combined. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean
  8. about 45 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile
  10. combine cream cheese and butter for frosting in a mixing bowl; beat until smooth. Add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy.
  11. Spread frosting on warm cake.
