Description
A delicious ground turkey burger. Experiment with the ingredients and make it your own!
Ingredients
- ¼ pound bacon
- 1 (20 ounce) package ground turkey
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- ⅓ cup finely chopped yellow onion
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 jalapeno pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat

- until evenly browned
- about 10 minutes; drain and cool on a plate lined with paper towels. Crumble bacon.

- Cheddar cheese
- yellow onion
- egg
- jalapeno pepper
- garlic
- cumin
- salt
- and pepper together in a bowl; shape mixture into eight 1/4-pound patties.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Cook the turkey burgers on the preheated grill until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear
- 7 to 10 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
