Crusted Cinnamon Walnuts

Description

Walnuts baked until crusted with cinnamon glaze. Cool and serve as a snack or in salads. Soak pan or wash immediately for easily clean-up.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups walnut halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C). Prepare a jelly roll pan with cooking spray.
  2. Beat egg white and sugar together in a large bowl.
  3. Mix cinnamon
  4. vanilla
  5. and salt together in a small bowl; stir into the egg mixture. Fold walnuts into the mixture to coat; spread onto the prepared jelly roll pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until the coating is crusty
  7. about 1 hour 15 minutes. Cool nuts 5 minutes before serving.
