Creamy Anchovy Dressing

This is a recipe from an older department store in St. Louis, Famous & Barr. A great creamy anchovy-based dressing! Great with a romaine lettuce or salad greens blend.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 (2 ounce) cans flat anchovy fillets, undrained
  • ½ large sweet onion (such as Vidalia®), sliced
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
