Cream of Mushroom Chicken

Description

This is a delicious chicken recipe for the whole family. You can serve it with white rice or potatoes if desired.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 ¼ cups water, or as needed
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – cubed
  • 1 (6 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat; stir in evaporated milk
  2. condensed soup
  3. and water. Add onion
  4. salt
  5. and pepper; bring to a boil. Stir in chicken and simmer until chicken is cooked through
  6. about 15 minutes.
  7. Stir in sliced mushrooms and simmer
  8. stirring often
  9. for 5 minutes more.
