Crab Puffs

Description

These decadent deep-fried puffs are filled with crabmeat and cream cheese. Dip them in your favorite Asian-style sauce and loosen your belt buckle!

Ingredients

  • 1 quart oil for deep frying
  • 1 pound cooked crabmeat
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 2 (16 ounce) packages small won ton wrappers

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large
  2. heavy saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  3. In a medium bowl
  4. mix together crabmeat
  5. cream cheese
  6. and garlic salt.
  7. Roll a small amount of the crabmeat mixture inside each wonton wrapper and seal.
  8. In small batches
  9. carefully place wontons into hot oil. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes
  10. until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
