Cornmeal Strawberry Cake

Description

A sweet and moist cake. Blueberries can be used instead of strawberries.

Ingredients

  • 1 ⅓ cups cornmeal
  • ⅔ cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 ¼ cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
