Coconut Pecan Frosting II

Description

This frosting is great on many cakes, not the least of which is German Chocolate Cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat
  2. combine milk
  3. sugar
  4. egg yolks
  5. butter and vanilla. Cook
  6. stirring frequently
  7. until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in coconut and pecans.

Cook Time: 15 mins

Total Time: 15 mins
