Classic Smoked Sausage & Peppers

Description

Sliced smoked sausage is sauteed with onions and red and green bell peppers for a quick and colorful weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ounce) package Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage, diagonally cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 cups red and green peppers, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Saute sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 3 minutes
  2. turning occasionally.
  3. Add olive oil
  4. onion
  5. peppers and oregano
  6. cooking until tender
  7. about 3 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat
  9. stir in Parmesan cheese.

Cook Time: 15 mins

Total Time: 20 mins
