Cinnamon Apple Syrup

Description

Apples simmered with sugar and cinnamon.. makes a great sundae topping over vanilla ice cream, or as a pancake topping! Adjust cinnamon and sugar to taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 tart apples – peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan
  2. combine the apples
  3. sugar
  4. cinnamon and water. Stir to dissolve sugar
  5. and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low
  6. and simmer for 10 minutes
  7. or until apples are soft and syrup has thickened. Serve over pancakes or ice cream.
