Cindy’s Yellow Rice

Description

This is an easy yellow rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup white rice
  • ΒΌ cup dried minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add rice
  2. onion
  3. olive oil
  4. turmeric
  5. garlic powder
  6. black pepper
  7. and salt. Cover
  8. reduce heat to low
  9. and simmer until water is absorbed and rice is tender
  10. about 20 minutes.
  11. Fluff rice with a fork before serving.

Cook Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 30 mins
