Cinco de Mayo Fresh Cheese Dip

This is a secret recipe for a favorite dip served at a New Mexican restaurant in East Lansing, Michigan. It’s perfect for a Cinco de Mayo party. Serve with tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 (16 ounce) packages small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages shredded pepper Jack cheese
  • 2 bunches scallions, chopped
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine cottage cheese
  2. sour cream
  3. pepper Jack cheese
  4. scallions
  5. cilantro
  6. Worcestershire sauce
  7. garlic
  8. cumin
  9. salt
  10. and pepper in a large bowl. Refrigerate for 2 hours to allow flavors to develop.
