Chocolate Duet Cookies

These taste just like the Panera Bread® chocolate duet cookies! They’re even better the second day. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup dark cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Beat butter
  3. white sugar
  4. and brown sugar together with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth and creamy. Beat 1 egg into butter mixture; beat remaining egg and vanilla extract into butter mixture.
  5. Stir flour
  6. cocoa powder
  7. baking soda
  8. and salt together in a bowl; add to creamed butter mixture and beat until the dry ingredients are integrated into a dough.
  9. Fold walnuts
  10. white chocolate chips
  11. and semisweet chocolate chips into the dough.
  12. Drop dough by teaspoonful onto baking sheets.
  13. Bake in preheated oven until browning along the edges
  14. 9 to 12 minutes.
