Chesapeake Bay Pork Chops

Description

Seafood seasoning is used to make a marinade that gives these grilled pork chops the delicious flavor of the Chesapeake Bay. More seafood seasoning can be sprinkled on at grill time to provide an extra kick.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • cracked black pepper to taste
  • 8 boneless pork chops, 1/2 inch thick

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the vegetable oil
  2. apple cider vinegar
  3. seafood seasoning
  4. minced garlic
  5. basil
  6. lime juice
  7. and black pepper in a bowl
  8. and pour into a resealable plastic bag. Add the pork chops
  9. coat with the marinade
  10. squeeze out excess air
  11. and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours
  12. flipping periodically.
  13. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat
  14. and lightly oil the grate. Remove the pork chops from the bags. Discard excess marinade.
  15. Grill until the pork is no longer pink in the center
  16. 5 to 7 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
