Candied Bacon

Description

This makes a great party snack.

Ingredients

  • ΒΌ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound thick-cut bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix brown sugar
  3. rice vinegar
  4. maple syrup
  5. and black pepper in a small bowl.
  6. Place bacon slices on a cooling rack set over a baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes
  8. turn slices
  9. and bake another 5 minutes.
  10. Remove bacon and brush both sides with brown sugar mixture. Return bacon to the oven and bake another 5 minutes. Repeat basting every 5 minutes until bacon is browned and crisp
  11. about 35 minutes.

Cook Time: 50 mins

Total Time: 55 mins
