Candied Almonds

Description

This is a favorite with my father. They taste so good warm! Substitute any type of nuts you prefer.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups whole almonds

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
  2. Combine sugar
  3. water
  4. and cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil. Add almonds; cook and stir mixture until liquid evaporates and leaves a syrupy coating on almonds.
  5. Pour almonds onto the prepared baking sheet; use two forks to separate clumps and spread into an even layer. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes.

Cook Time: 15 mins

Total Time: 35 mins
