Butter Toffee Popcorn

Description

This popcorn is a crowd pleaser! It has the sweet and salty taste that everybody loves and is much easier than caramel corn. No one can turn down this great snack!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unpopped popcorn
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup butter
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Pop popcorn in an air popper according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Combine sugar
  3. corn syrup
  4. butter
  5. and water in a heavy saucepan over medium heat; cook until toffee syrup temperature reaches 280 degrees F (138 degrees C) using a candy thermometer
  6. about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Mix toffee syrup with popcorn in a large bowl until evenly combined.
