Brown Sugar and Balsamic Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Description

Pork tenderloin with a delightful savory-sweet balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground sage
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 (1 1/2 pound) pork tenderloins
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar
  2. water
  3. balsamic vinegar
  4. soy sauce
  5. and cornstarch in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook
  6. stirring constantly
  7. until mixture thickens
  8. 4 to 6 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking sheet.
  10. Combine garlic
  11. sage
  12. salt
  13. and pepper in a small bowl. Rub garlic mixture over pork tenderloins.
  14. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange tenderloins in the skillet and brown evenly
  15. 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer pork to the prepared baking sheet and brush with the balsamic glaze.
  16. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Turn pork
  17. brush again with glaze
  18. and continue cooking until pork is slightly pink in the center
  19. about 20 minutes more
  20. or until desired doneness. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
  21. Remove tenderloin to a platter. Allow to rest for 10 minutes. Drizzle a little extra glaze over the top. Carve and serve with remaining glaze on the side.
