Black Bean and Chickpea Hummus

Description

A tahini-free version of hummus using canned black beans and chickpeas. Serve with pita bread and your choice of fresh veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup canned black beans, drained
  • 1 cup canned garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons plain nonfat yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 clove garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1 ½ teaspoons curry powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
