Bisnonna’s Tuna Parmesan

Description

A simple and delicious recipe passed down from my Italian great-grandmother.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 ounce) jars tuna packed in oil, drained
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ΒΌ cup olive oil
  • 1 (8 ounce) can pasta sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine tuna
  2. Parmesan cheese
  3. bread crumbs
  4. and egg in a medium mixing bowl. Form into around 7 patties.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly brown patties in the hot oil
  6. 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  7. Bring pasta sauce to a simmer in a separate skillet. Add tuna patties
  8. cover with sauce
  9. and let simmer for 10 minutes.

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 30 mins

Servings: 7
