Best Hot Fudge Sauce

Description

A friend of my mother-in-law shared this easy recipe with me years and years ago.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 ⅔ cups evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan
  2. combine chocolate chips and butter. Cook and stir over low heat until melted.
  3. Gradually mix in confectioners’ sugar and milk. Increase heat to a boil. Cook
  4. stirring constantly
  5. for 8 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat
  7. then stir in vanilla and salt. Serve warm. Store in refrigerator.
