Best Farmers’ Market Pimento Cheese

This is a recipe that has been recreated from an award-winning recipe for pimento cheese found at our local farmers’ market. You won’t be disappointed. It’s even better if it sits for a day in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to blend.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated mild white Cheddar cheese (such as Vermont white Cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped pimento
  • 2 ½ tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 2 ½ tablespoons finely chopped green onion (white and light green parts)
  • 4 drops Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Stir together the Cheddar cheese
  2. pimento
  3. red onion
  4. green onion
  5. and the Worcestershire sauce. Stir in mayonnaise 1 tablespoon at a time to achieve desired texture.
