Description
This jackfruit meat substitute acts like pulled pork and will fool any meat eater! Get the potato chips and coleslaw ready, because you are about to have a picnic.
Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) can jackfruit in brine, drained
- 1 cup barbeque sauce
- 2 tablespoons margarine (such as Earth BalanceĀ®)
- 4 hamburger buns, split
Instructions
- Remove all seeds from jackfruit. Combine jackfruit and BBQ sauce in a slow cooker. Cook on High for 3 to 4 hours.
- Use a fork to shred jackfruit meat. Spread margarine on hamburger buns and place a scoop of jackfruit “meat” on top. Serve immediately
