Banana Loaf

Description

Moist banana loaf, delicious warmed with butter … mmmmmmm … This recipe can be easily doubled to make 2 loaves.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Cream sugar and butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs
  3. one at a time
  4. beating well after each addition. Mix in mashed bananas. Sift together flour
  5. baking soda
  6. baking powder
  7. and salt in a separate bowl; beat into banana mixture just until combined. Fold in nuts. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean
  9. about 1 hour.
