Banana Bread – Quick Bread for Machines

Description

A quick banana bread for the bread machine. Use the DOUGH setting for mixing, then BAKE with the control set to light.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 bananas, peeled and halved lengthwise

Instructions

  1. Place bananas
  2. flour
  3. sugar
  4. eggs
  5. oil
  6. baking powder
  7. and baking soda in the pan of the bread machine.
  8. Select Dough setting; press Start. Mix dough until well combined and bananas are mashed
  9. 3 to 5 minutes. Use a rubber spatula to push dough from the sides of the bread pan if necessary. Press Stop
  10. then smooth out the top of the loaf with a rubber spatula.
  11. Select Bake setting; press Start. Bake in the bread machine until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
  12. about 50 minutes. If there is batter on the toothpick
  13. reset the machine on Bake and continue baking for 10 to 15 minutes.
  14. Remove the pan from the machine. Allow bread to remain in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins
