Baked Lamb Meatballs

Description

I made these as part of a New Year’s dinner. Had the lamb and peeked around the kitchen for interesting and delicious things to throw in. I love successful experiments!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 2 slices bread, torn into small pieces
  • ¼ cup yogurt
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Mix lamb
  3. bread
  4. yogurt
  5. raisins
  6. cilantro
  7. garlic
  8. oregano
  9. basil
  10. salt
  11. and pepper together in a bowl. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on a greased baking sheet.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven until meatballs are browned on the outsides and only slightly pink in the centers
  13. about 20 minutes.

Cook Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 35 mins
