Baked Haddock

Description

Haddock (or other white fish) is lightly breaded and baked. Parmesan adds a nice flavor. Quick and easy to prepare, it’s a nice alternative to deep frying.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ¾ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon ground dried thyme
  • 4 haddock fillets
  • ¼ cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl
  3. combine the milk and salt. In a separate bowl
  4. mix together the bread crumbs
  5. Parmesan cheese
  6. and thyme. Dip the haddock fillets in the milk
  7. then press into the crumb mixture to coat. Place haddock fillets in a glass baking dish
  8. and drizzle with melted butter.
  9. Bake on the top rack of the preheated oven until the fish flakes easily
  10. about 15 minutes.
