Baked Butternut Squash

Description

This simple baked butternut squash is easy to make, delicious to eat, and looks beautiful on the plate.

Ingredients

  • 1 butternut squash, halved lengthwise and seeded
  • water
  • 1 tablespoon butter, divided
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place squash

  4. in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour 2 cups water into the dish around the squash halves.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until tender and easily pierced with a fork

  8. Remove from the oven and transfer each half to a plate
  9. cut-side up. Top each half with butter and season with salt and pepper.
