Bacon Cheese Frittata

Description

Make this frittata even easier by using cooked bacon from the freezer. It’s a wonderful dish to serve at brunch or to take as leftovers for lunch.

Ingredients

  • 5 slices bacon
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 7×11-inch baking dish.
  2. Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat
  3. turning occasionally
  4. until evenly browned
  5. about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
  6. Whisk eggs
  7. milk
  8. melted butter
  9. salt
  10. and pepper together in a bowl; pour into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with green onions and crumbled bacon. Cover with Cheddar cheese.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean
  12. 25 to 30 minutes.
