Baby Food: Plum

Description

Plums are a perfect staple ingredient to baby’s diet, as well as great for mixing with several different foods. Plums are good refrigerated for 2 to 3 days or frozen for 3 months.

Ingredients

  • 4 plums – peeled, pitted, and cut into small chunks

Instructions

  1. Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil. Add plums
  2. cover
  3. and steam until tender
  4. about 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer plums to a food processor and blend
  6. adding water from the saucepan as needed
  7. until desired consistency is reached. Allow pureed plums to reach room temperature before serving or freezing.
