Asian Green Bean Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 teaspoon sweet chile sauce
  • 3 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Place green beans in a pot with water to cover; bring to a boil. Cook until tender
  2. 6 to 8 minutes; drain.
  3. Combine green beans
  4. sugar
  5. soy sauce
  6. oil
  7. mirin
  8. and sweet chile sauce in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate 30 minutes to 4 hours. Mix in sesame seeds.
