Description
Easy as can be, but can be a dessert you will be proud to serve or give. I let it cool and dust with confectioners’ sugar. You may add 1 cup of chopped nuts if you like.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 ½ cups vegetable oil
- 2 cups applesauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan. Sift together the flour

- In a large bowl

- salt and cinnamon. Make a well in the center and pour in the eggs

- oil
- applesauce and vanilla. Mix well and pour into prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes
- or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes
- then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
