Anti-Inflammatory Hot Turmeric Milk

Description

An anti-inflammatory, antioxidant-rich hot drink.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup milk
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon honey, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ghee (clarified butter) (Optional)
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine milk
  2. water
  3. ginger
  4. honey
  5. ghee
  6. turmeric
  7. cinnamon
  8. and black pepper in a small saucepan. Whisk over medium heat until boiling
  9. 5 to 10 minutes.
  10. Remove the pot from heat. Strain out fresh ginger and serve immediately.
