Acorn Squash

Description

Sweet and buttery squash–this is quick and easy, and my family loves it.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium acorn squash, halved and seeded
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place acorn squash halves cut-side down onto a cookie sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until flesh begins to soften
  3. about 30 to 45 minutes.
  4. Remove squash from the oven and transfer one squash half
  5. cut-side up
  6. to a deep baking dish. Spoon butter and brown sugar into the cavity. Place remaining squash half
  7. cut-side down
  8. over top to seal.
  9. Return to the oven and continue to bake until flesh is soft
  10. 30 minutes.
