Key West Shrimp Boil with Key Lime Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 2 dashes hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®), or to taste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 (12 fluid ounce) cans or bottles beer
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 12 dashes hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®), or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 pounds raw shrimp, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Stir mayonnaise
  2. lime juice
  3. Dijon mustard
  4. sugar
  5. and hot pepper sauce together in a bowl until smooth; season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate mustard sauce for at least 2 hours.
  7. Mix beer
  8. lemon juice
  9. seafood seasoning
  10. hot pepper sauce
  11. garlic
  12. cayenne pepper
  13. and black pepper together in a saucepan; bring to a boil and add shrimp. Cook shrimp just until they are bright pink on the outside and the meat is no longer transparent in the center
  14. about 2 minutes; drain immediately.
