French Toast Casserole

Description

Tastes good for breakfast, just like French toast. It’s easy to make too! Serve warm with maple syrup on top.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups bread cubes
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • ¼ cup white sugar, divided
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon margarine, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. Line the bottom of the prepared pan with bread cubes. Beat milk
  3. eggs
  4. 2 tablespoons sugar
  5. salt
  6. and vanilla together in a large bowl until well combined; pour over bread cubes and stir to coat. Dot with margarine; let stand for 15 minutes.
  7. Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon; sprinkle over top of casserole.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden
  9. about 45 to 50 minutes.
