Cream Cake

Description

This is a delicate white cake. Heavy cream is used instead of butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×9-inch square pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Beat eggs in a large bowl until very thick. Mix in sugar and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Sift together flour
  4. baking powder
  5. and salt in a separate bowl. Add flour mixture to egg mixture in 3 parts
  6. alternating with whipping cream
  7. mixing until combined. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
  9. 30 to 40 minutes.
