Banana Cake II

Description

My family loves this cake. Frost with a cream cheese frosting with one ripe banana added and confectioners’ sugar sprinkled over the top.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup sour milk
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Make cake: In a large bowl
  3. beat sugar
  4. butter
  5. eggs
  6. and vanilla until creamy.
  7. In another bowl
  8. sift together flour
  9. baking powder
  10. baking soda
  11. and salt. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Add mashed bananas and sour milk and mix until combined. Pour into the prepared pan.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature.
  13. Meanwhile
  14. make frosting. Mix frosting and mashed banana together until well combined. Spread over cooled cake. Sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar.
