Red Lobster® Cheddar Biscuits

Description

I made these with baked potato soup and loved it. Great addition! I gave them to a friend and he said they tasted just like the ones at Red Lobster®. The recipe will yield more if made into smaller biscuits. They are best served fresh out of the oven.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Stir flour
  3. Cheddar cheese
  4. baking powder
  5. salt
  6. and garlic powder together in a bowl.
  7. Stir milk
  8. softened butter pieces
  9. and egg together in a separate bowl. Add to the flour mixture and stir until just combined and chunky
  10. being very careful not to overmix.
  11. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  13. Meanwhile
  14. stir melted butter
  15. parsley
  16. and garlic powder together in a small bowl.
  17. Remove biscuits from the oven and brush melted butter mixture over top. Return to the oven and bake until golden brown
  18. about 5 more minutes. Serve warm.
