Gooey Butter Cake III

Description

This cake uses a cake mix to make a crust, over which there is a cream cheese layer. Easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, divided
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 4 cups confectioners’ sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix together cake mix
  3. butter
  4. 2 eggs
  5. and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a large bowl until well-combined. Pat mixture into a 9×13-inch dish.
  6. Mix cream cheese
  7. remaining 2 eggs
  8. and remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla with an electric mixer in a bowl. Slowly beat in confectioner’s sugar. Pour over cake layer.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown
  10. 40 to 45 minutes. Cool before serving.
