It’s basically asparagus quiche, but with Canadian bacon. Top with your favorite Hollandaise sauce to serve. Enjoy!

- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 slices Canadian bacon, cut into 1/2-inch dice
- 3 tablespoons grated onion
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup biscuit baking mix (such as Bisquick®)
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce
- 1 prepared 9-inch single pie crust
- 1 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
