Spicy Rub for Seared Tuna Steaks

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons grated lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 (5 ounce) tuna steaks, about 1 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Whisk 2 tablespoons olive oil
  2. lemon zest

  6. salt
  7. and cinnamon in a small bowl; rub tuna steaks with spice mixture.
  8. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear tuna in the hot oil until browned but still pink in the center
