Simple BBQ Ribs

Description

Country-style ribs are cut from the loin, one of the leanest areas of pork. These ribs are seasoned, boiled until tender, then baked with your favorite barbeque sauce. That’s it! Back to simplicity, back to the country life. Sigh.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ pounds country style pork ribs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 cup barbeque sauce

Instructions

  1. Place ribs in a large pot and cover with water. Stir in kosher salt
  2. garlic powder
  3. and pepper
  4. and bring water to a boil over medium heat. Continue to boil until ribs are tender
  5. 40 to 45 minutes.
  6. While the ribs are boiling
  7. preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  8. Remove ribs from the pot
  9. and place them in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour barbeque sauce over ribs. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven until the internal temperature of the pork has reached 160 degrees F (70 degrees C)
  11. 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
