Candy Coated Pretzels

Wonderful candied pretzel twists that your family and friends will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 (20 ounce) package miniature pretzel twists
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat an oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet. Arrange pretzels in a single layer baking sheet.
  2. Combine butter
  3. brown sugar
  4. corn syrup
  5. and salt in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Do not stir once the sugar syrup begins to boil. Heat to 244 degrees F (117 degrees C)
  6. or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a firm but pliable ball.
  7. Pour hot mixture over pretzels; toss to coat evenly.
  8. Bake pretzels in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Stir; continue to bake until crisp
  9. about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and break into individual pieces. Cool on wire rack or parchment paper.
