Soft Chocolate Pudding Cookies

Description

Cookies with pudding mix and chocolate chips. This recipe bakes up to be soft and delicious.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup shortening (such as Crisco®)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Combine shortening
  3. sugars
  4. milk
  5. and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Beat in eggs. Whip mixture until light and fluffy.
  6. Combine flour
  7. pudding mix
  8. salt
  9. and baking soda in a separate bowl. Pour over the shortening mixture and beat until well blended. Fold in chocolate chips.
  10. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto ungreased cookie sheets
  11. spacing them 3 inches apart.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven
  13. 1 cookie sheet at a time
  14. until edges are set
  15. 11 to 15 minutes. Repeat with remaining cookie sheets. Cool each batch for 5 minutes before moving cookies onto a cooling rack.
