Moist banana loaf, delicious warmed with butter … mmmmmmm … This recipe can be easily doubled to make 2 loaves.
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Cream sugar and butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs
- one at a time
- beating well after each addition. Mix in mashed bananas. Sift together flour
- baking soda
- baking powder
- and salt in a separate bowl; beat into banana mixture just until combined. Fold in nuts. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean
- about 1 hour.
