Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon wheat germ
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 1 cup canned cream-style corn
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease 12 muffin cups.
  2. Place bacon in a skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain

  4. In a large bowl

  9. wheat germ and salt. In a separate bowl
  10. combine eggs
  11. milk
  12. corn
  13. butter
  14. oil and bacon. Stir egg mixture into dry ingredients
  15. just until combined. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.
  16. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25
  17. until golden brown.
